Maximising Website Traffic with the Use of Online Marketing
The primary objective of any business web site is to drive an increased amount of targeted traffic each time. There are many methods that would help any site attain this objective—some of these methods can be done for free while some would require the services of online marketing experts.
The free methods of online marketing include blogs; one-way links; newsletter marketing; e-mail marketing; and submitting viral videos to the web. There are many other venues for online development such as:
Search engines
Social Networking sites
Social Bookmarking
Links with major clients and other relevant organisations
Search engines look for certain aspects on the contents that they will rank high. These include effective titles, headings, and meta tags. A search-engine friendly site must be able to offer these things along with usable, interactive functions. Ranking high on search engines’ pages is no longer just about keywords. Nowadays, it is more about the quality of the web site’s contents and their degree of usefulness. And since the web site is the foundation of any online marketing campaign, it is always best to have the readers or customers in mind when selling products or services.
Millions of customers browse the Internet daily and the only way that a web site will be given emphasis is when the correct methods of search engine marketing are practiced. Sometimes, search engine marketing experts could also do the trick.
Social networking sites were primarily built as a community for people who share similar passions, interests or hobbies. The years have shown how social networking has grown and what were once small communities are now sites for thousands, if not millions of members. Examples of these sites include MySpace, Friendster, MSN groups, Yahoo groups, Facebook and the like.
There are no boundaries when it comes to social networking that is why it is a perfect place to find targeted traffic and build a brand name that customers would easily recognise. Social networking sites are also full of niches which could allow job and service outsourcing.
Targeted social bookmarking has also become one of the most effective ways of sharing online marketing. Social bookmarking is all about the exchange of ideas with the use of available resources online. Doing this will give any business the capacity to recognise what people are seeking for on services or products and be able to deliver this at just the right moment.
Link building is also a crucial part of online development campaigns. Its basic concept is to get numerous links to the business site all over the Internet. This means that a web site must have inbound links and obtaining these could be tedious as it will require contacting other sites and asking for a link back. This is a good and natural way of boosting search engine ranking.
Search engine marketing and other advertising methods are the most useful traffic-generating tools of the online industry. Remember that it is targeted traffic that web sites should want and not just multiple but useless clicks.

Companies seem to ignore the single largest online branding/advertising venue available: their own regular external emails. Why not use these emails to market the senders company?
You have a website.
You send emails. Why not multiply your sales-staff by “wrapping” the regular email in an interactive letterhead?
No other marketing or advertising medium is as targeted as an email between people that know each other (as opposed to mass emails). These emails are always read and typically kept.

Nice post. Thanks. Organic SEO (not using Adwords) is a long but rewarding process in getting you good SEO.
I would be careful of email wrapping. Customers are very sensitive about emails.
I work both in the traditional marketing and social networks. I find emailing a client once every two months is OK.
