Website Marketing

Marketing a website needs to be looked at in two primary methods, offsite marketing and onsite marketing. Offsite marketing includes:

  • Directmail and press advertising

  • Promotional events

  • Sales calling for potential business

  • Promotional material in visible locations and places

  • PPC Marketing

  • SEO Makreting

  • Banner Advertisements

  • Communication of incentives for resellers or repeat customers

On-site marketing includes:

  • Internal website marketing messages

  • Expected structure and user experience

  • Onsite user interaction

  • Display of products and services in consideration of previous purchases or in anticipation of a potential purchase.

Website marketing does not differ that much from offline marketing, it provides more data and learnings about your audience than any other method of marketing a business. Learnings can then be applied to other techniques which do not allow the same level of tracking and data capture.
