One of the most important senior appointments to the Church of England was announced today by a three-minute video posted on YouTube. The video message followed the traditional Downing Street press notice this morning. In the message Rt Rev Dr Alan Smith said: “As we seek to engage with the world, one of the most profound challenges facing us is whether we are willing to go deeper into God.”
A great use of modern communication from the Church of England, a good idea but is it a one off. I can’t find the video when searching YouTube, so maybe it’s not going to be a successful platform. The correct method and approach is always important, otherwise new ideas are not attempted again and classed as a failure.
